Last week Year 9 GCSE Music students took part in a series of workshops with Conductive Music. During the workshops they created their own electronic instruments and music using everyday objects, circuit building, and soldering. They then performed their instruments along to backing tracks they had also created earlier in the day. We really enjoyed the workshops and having such inspiring professional musicians working with us. The workshops also provided the opportunity to acquire key employability skills for creative industries and STEM subjects including programming, soldering, instrumental performance and sound design.
